About the Artist

I am a sculptor and multimedia artist from Northern Mexico, working across metal, ceramics, and drawing. My practice is rooted in material exploration—shaping form through pressure, resistance, and process.

Growing up near the U.S.–Mexico border, I was exposed to a convergence of cultural and visual languages that continue to inform my work. I draw from precolonial art of the Americas, Mexican muralism, Chicano street art, and architectural movements such as Brutalism, alongside the structural fragmentation of Cubism.

My work examines themes of spirituality, existential tension, and the human psyche—not as abstract ideas, but as forces embedded in form. I am interested in how weight, distortion, and structure can reflect internal states and the complexity of human experience.

Working across different materials allows me to approach these ideas from multiple perspectives. Metal and forged elements emphasize strength, permanence, and control, while ceramics introduce fragility, variation, and unpredictability. This contrast is central to my practice.

I am largely self-taught and continue to develop my work while pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Sculpture and Installation at OCAD University.

My work exists between structure and collapse—where material becomes a record of force, tension, and transformation.
